What Cookies We Use

Why We Ask for Consent
We show a cookie banner because privacy regulations in many jurisdictions require consent for any non-essential storage, including localStorage. Even though our single storage item is minimal and non-tracking, we ask for your consent to comply with these regulations and to respect your right to control what gets stored on your device.
If you click "Accept," we store your preference and don't ask again. If you click "Decline," we still don't store anything beyond the fact that you declined, because we need to remember not to show you the banner again. This creates a minimal paradox that privacy-conscious sites have to navigate: to remember that someone declined cookies, you have to store that preference somehow. We use localStorage for this purpose, which is the least intrusive method available.
